Organized retail crime is often missed when each theft, suspect, store, platform, and transaction is treated as an isolated event.

ORC investigations may involve repeat offenders, booster crews, fencing operations, online marketplaces, fraudulent returns, multiple jurisdictions, digital accounts, vehicles, associates, and patterns that develop over time. Investigators must connect incidents, validate identities, preserve digital and physical evidence, coordinate stakeholders, and distinguish organized activity from isolated retail theft. CORCI is designed for professionals who need a structured framework for identifying ORC patterns, developing intelligence, investigating booster and fencing networks, documenting evidence, and building cases that can be reviewed and coordinated across organizations.

Organized patterns remain hidden when incidents are documented store by store, jurisdiction by jurisdiction, or platform by platform.

Investigative leads lose value when identities, associates, vehicles, transactions, online accounts, and resale activity are not connected.

Cases become harder to coordinate when retailers, law enforcement, analysts, prosecutors, and other partners do not share a consistent investigative picture.

CORCI provides a structured approach to ORC intelligence, open-source research, cyber investigation, auction fraud, social-media analysis, booster and fencing operations, surveillance, evidence development, legal considerations, and professional case reporting.

    What sets this program apart

    Network-Focused Investigation

Moves beyond individual theft events to examine repeat activity, booster crews, fencing operations, organized structures, associates, and cross-jurisdictional patterns.

    Physical and Digital Evidence

Connects store incidents and surveillance with social media, online marketplaces, auction fraud, open-source intelligence, cyber-investigative methods, and digital accounts.

    Retail and Law-Enforcement Coordination

Develops the ability to organize intelligence and evidence for collaboration among loss prevention, corporate security, law enforcement, analysts, and prosecutorial partners.

    Professional Certification Assessment

Certification requires completion of the applicable training, eligibility requirements, assessments, and proctored final examination. Access to the program alone does not result in certification.

    Who this is for

Built for professionals responsible for investigating organized retail crime and coordinated theft activity

CORCI is designed for professionals whose work involves organized retail crime, loss prevention, retail fraud, online resale, booster and fencing operations, cyber-enabled theft, intelligence development, or multi-jurisdictional case coordination.

    This course is perfect for

    • Loss Prevention Specialists and Managers who need advanced tools and methodologies to prevent and investigate organized retail crime.

    • Corporate Security Professionals aiming to safeguard assets by understanding and countering ORC fraud schemes within a corporate environment.

    • Private Investigators and Cybercrime Analysts who require training in ORC-specific investigation techniques, including social media and cyber investigations.

    • Retail Operations Managers interested in learning about ORC impacts and how to mitigate risk within retail environments.

    • Law Enforcement Officers working closely with retail crime units or handling cases involving organized retail crime, fencing operations, and booster schemes.

This course may not be for you if

    • You are seeking general retail-theft awareness rather than professional ORC investigative preparation.

    • Your role does not involve loss prevention, investigations, fraud, intelligence, cyber activity, asset protection, retail operations, or case support.

    • You want training focused only on apprehension or store-level incidents without broader network, online-resale, and intelligence analysis.

    • You are looking for a brief introductory seminar rather than a structured certification with formal assessment requirements.

    • You are unwilling to document patterns, corroborate identities, preserve evidence, coordinate across organizations, and distinguish isolated theft from organized activity.

Is this program right for you?

Program-fit questions candidates ask before they enroll.

No specialized ORC background is required beyond the published eligibility standards. The program begins with organized-retail-crime foundations and progresses into intelligence, online investigations, booster and fencing activity, surveillance, evidence, and case development.
