ELIGIBILITY 

Bachelor’s degree or higher (no experience is needed)

OR

Associates degree plus 2 YEARS of professional work experience in e-commerce, fraud, investigations, IT, law enforcement, forensics, criminal justice, law, and loss prevention 

OR

High school diploma or equivalency plus 3 YEARS of professional work experience as stated above. 

Also, a person convicted of a felony, any crime of moral turpitude or misdemeanor relating to honesty, theft, embezzlement, fraud or the like shall be ineligible to become a C|OSINT. The applicant must successfully pass the prescribed background check, which may include a criminal background check and examination process. Falsification or omission of information on the application form will be reason enough to disqualify an applicant from becoming or remaining Certified in Open Source Intelligence.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Participant Technology Requirements

To ensure a seamless and interactive learning experience during our COSINT Program all participants are required to bring a laptop that meets the following criteria and specifications:

Laptop Requirements:

1. Operating System: Your laptop must run one of the following operating systems to ensure compatibility with the training tools and software:
- Windows 10 or later
- macOS Catalina (10.15) or later

2. Processor: Minimum of Intel i5 (or equivalent) with at least 4 cores to efficiently handle multitasking and software used in the training.

3. Memory (RAM): Minimum of 8GB RAM, though 16GB is recommended for optimal performance, especially when running virtual machines or heavy applications.

4. Hard Drive: At least 256GB of available space to accommodate software installations and working files. SSD (Solid State Drive) is recommended for faster boot and application launch times.

5. Network: Wi-Fi capability is required. Participants must have the ability to connect to a wireless network without restrictions. VPN access might be needed if certain resources are restricted in your location.

6. Administrative Rights: Participants must have administrative privileges on their laptop to allow for the installation of new software and tools required for the training.

7. Software Compatibility: Ensure that your system has the latest updates installed. Participants may be required to install specific software or tools prior to or during the training session. A list of software will be provided ahead of time.

8. Virtual Machine Capability: Your laptop should be capable of running virtual machines. Having a virtualization platform like VMware Workstation Player (for Windows) or VMware Fusion (for Mac), or Oracle VirtualBox installed is necessary. Please ensure that virtualization is enabled in your BIOS settings.

9. Internet Browser: Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox.

10. Power Adapter: Please bring your laptop's power adapter to ensure your device remains charged throughout the training.

11. Security: Ensure that your laptop does not have restrictive firewalls or security software that could prevent the downloading of necessary tools or access to web resources used in the training. Disable any corporate VPNs that might restrict access.
