In short, no. Your board credential will not be deleted. You - and others who want to view your certificate - will still be able to see your credential. The main change to it's appearance will be a faded overlay, and a notification that tells viewers that the credential is currently expired. We do this so that it is immediately clear to employers, or evaluators what the status of the credential is.

Can I Still Make Changes to My Credentials

Yes, you can still make modifications like 'Add Evidence', 'Request a Name Change', or 'Change Privacy'. If you do make changes to your credential, remember that your credential will still appear with the expired notification until it is renewed.

 What Can I No Longer Do?

You will no longer be able to add an expired credential to your email signature, Linkedin profile, resume, or promote that you are certified by McAfee Institute etc. You will still be able to download a PDF copy of your certificate, but it will have a stamp communicating the date on which it expired and that it has been revoked.

 How Can I Renew My Credential?

The best way to renew your credential is to pay your renewal fee and report your CPE credits here

Course QUESTIONS

Each of our board certifications have certain eligibility requirements for you to be able to hold the certification and credential. This information is contained on the course page if you scroll down to where it says eligibility requirements

If you are enrolled in a qualifying board certification bundle program which offers the exam pass guarantee the following terms apply. 

To be eligible for the exam pass guarantee the student must complete the entire training program before sitting for the final board exam. This includes watching all videos, completing all assignments, research, labs, and prep review quizzes. Prep review quizzes must be passed with a 90% or better.

If you proceed to sit for the exam without completing the program first you will forfeit your exam pass guarantee.

For Board Certifications: You have lifetime access to the program. However you only have 1 year to take the exam as your program came with a 1 year exam license.

For Online Courses: You have lifetime access to the programs if you paid in full for the program. 

Note: If you bought a subscription, access to the programs are limited based on the duration of the subscription you paid for and are not lifetime access. To maintain access you must maintain your subscription.

Our exams are in between 125-200 questions depending on the exam. You have 3 hours to complete them and they need to be completed it one sitting. They are a mixture of true/false and multiple choice. Passing score is 70%. We have over a 99.7% pass rate if you follow the materials and utilize the prep review quizzes to study. If you fail you will need to purchase a new exam license unless your course came with an exam guarantee at which time you will receive a second attempt for free. Please refer to the course landing page to see if this is applicable for the program of your interest.

Upon completion you will a digital certificate of completion, a printed board certification, diploma cover, and a digital unofficial copy of your transcripts.

Your board certification is valid for 2 years. Every two years you have to renew it to keep it active.

Certificates of completion for online courses ONLY are valid for 2 years from the date of completion. You can only earn 1 certificate of completion for each course you take. You can revisit the course as much as you want, however you cannot earn subsequent certificates based on that activity.
